White chip (also known as limestone chip or lime chip) is New Zealand's
most popular decorative landscaping stone. Quarried from the Central
North Island, this screened and graded limestone chip has been a
favourite ground cover in Auckland and northern New Zealand gardens
for decades.

HOW TO USE WHITE LIMESTONE CHIP
Paths and garden beds
Lay directly over compacted ground or weed mat for a sharp,
designer finish. Note: white chip is coarse underfoot -
take care when walking barefoot.
Driveways and high-traffic areas
Prepare a compacted GAP20 or GAP40 base before laying white
chip to ensure stability under vehicle weight. Check with a
landscaping professional if you're unsure on base preparation.
Courtyards and parking areas
A cost-effective alternative to paving - easy to top up,
attractive appearance year-round.
IMPORTANT: ACID-LOVING PLANTS
White chip is a limestone product and will gradually leach
slight acidity into surrounding soil. This can cause yellowing
in acid-loving plants like rhododendrons and camellias.
If these plants are nearby, use bark mulch instead.
A leaf blower is the best way to keep the stones clean.
